Appearance:

Hyung Soo is a tall enough man with dark brown eyes and black hair. His hair is abnormally long for a boy his age, and he keeps it wrapped up in a braid. He has one stray hair that always wiggles about, as if having a mind of its own.
Though he was born tan, his skin is still visibly whiter compared to his brother’s. He constantly has a great amount of clothing on, covering everything but his face. He wears simple sunglasses and is always plugged into his MP3 player (his headphone reaching inside his ear). He also wears a kind of medical mask over his face, giving him a rather weird look.

Strengths

[+] Reading emotions- Since he can hear your heartbeat and smell your pheromones, he can tell your eyeing that one student over there.

[+] Organisation- It just looks better this way.

[+] Chemistry/Biology- Not being able to go outside a lot, Hyung spent most of his time studying as a child. Now he wants to study biology and chemistry further in life (and find a cure for super aging for his brother).

Weaknesses

[-] Being in a crowd-everyone is talking and sweating and breathing and…he hates it.

[-] Making friends- It’s not that he doesn’t want friends. It’s just hard to make them since people don’t really understand why he’s dressed the way he is.

[-] Mental breakdowns due to over sensitivity- If his senses get overloaded with information, then he tends to freak out due to too much information to process. This has happened only once since he was a baby, in which himself and Yong Soo went to an amusement park. Basically he begins hyperventilating before breaking down and curling up in the fetal position (all the while screaming as to drown out the noises of others).

Power: Super sense
Brief Description of Abilities: Imagine all the five senses (sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch) but to the extreme. Hyung can hear what people are saying on the other end of a building, he can use his eyes as a telescope, he can smell fear and feel your blood through your fingers.
At first this may sound rather positive (especially since he can hear someone coming and know their mood based on their heartbeat) however Hyung Soo still is not able to fully control his powers. On the flip side of the coin, he can hear conversations he shouldn’t (and not be able to ignore them), his eyes are so sensitive he has to constantly wear sunglasses, he smells EVERYTHING (and everything SMELLS) and he has to cover his entire body in protection (as touching either hurts him or gets his hormones going). And super taste? To him that is the dumbest power ever (since all it does is make him incredibly picky to food).

Personality:

Growing up with a brother who is hyperactive, Hyung has learned to keep to himself most of the time. He doesn’t dislike people, it’s just the fact that they tend to speak loudly and wear loads of perfume. They are also very touchy, which makes Hyung Soo uncomfortable. The only people he’s comfortable touching is his mother (who’s dead) and his brother (who does it a bit too often).
So instead he usually just sits in the lab and works on various experiments.

Hyung likes ice cream, banana flavoured foods, going to class (surprise) and his pet parakeet. He enjoys talking to his parakeet and was allowed to bring her to the school (as he couldn’t have a roommate due to his special condition).

He is rather blunt with people and has learned not to beat around the bush (though he tries not to be rude about it). He is also the man you want to go to for gossip (and even though he says he doesn’t care, he now is addicted to knowing what dirty secrets people have going on inside their lives.) He doesn’t trust people at first (since he was bullied a lot as a kid) but once he gets to know someone they can grow on him. He also hates it when people think his brother is older than him.

Hyung is not strong enough to be a violent man (though he may cut you with words at times). He believes being smart is a greater asset than being strong. However, he does try to keep in shape (and has taken to archery).

History:

As a baby Hyung Soo was troublesome. He would cry constantly and scream if anyone but his mother touched him. As he grew older he was even more trouble. He refused to eat his food most of the time, and if forced to go outside would hide underneath a tree. He never made eye contact with people and would wail if he got even the slightest cut or bruise. His mother finally brought him to one doctor that noted he was overly sensitive (and that he cried because he had too much to process in his brain). From that point on he wouldn’t be forced to go outside, or to hug people he didn’t know. Instead his mother helped him cover his body fully, and gave him sunglasses he could wear constantly (though, she did push for him to eat food he didn’t enjoy).

As he grew older things didn’t get any better. He was pulled out of school for bad grades and constantly hiding in the janitor’s closet. As soon as he began homeschooling however, his grades improved dramatically (as he wasn’t distracted by others anymore). As his mother’s aging got worse, Hyung began researching how to possibly reverse, or at least stop, the effect of her mutation.

He was too late however, as his mother died young but looking around 80. That was when their uncle showed them a school for ‘special’ children like Hyung and Yong Soo. After talking about it, both boys decided to enroll.

Hyung now looks forward to working in a real lab and hopes to find a way to cure his brother from aging quickly (while maintaining his powers of speed).

Sample RP:

Hyung Soo placed the books in their appropriate place before taking another look around the small room. It was nice. Smaller than his old room, but that was to be expected from a dormitory right? With a nod he walked over to the bed and sat down, the cushions fluffy beneath him. He took off his glove and grabbed a fistful of the blankets, giving out a small sigh at how soft they were. Satisfied he laid down fully onto the bed, his eyes closed while he took off his sunglasses. With a small peep his bird nibbled on her food.

I think I could get used to it here. Even if it isn’t for very long.

He glanced over at the cupcake on his table that his brother gave him.
It was probably store bought.

With a wrinkle of his nose he rolled over, not really hungry for plastic sugar. Meanwhile his headphone blared in his ears, yet he could still hear perfectly fine.
