Introduction
There are a few general guidelines to consider when creating a character that is interesting and dynamic while still believable and balanced. Also, if the character has a canon personality already, you have to work that in. It can be rather confusing if you're not used to the idea.
Here are a few guidelines to get you started, more will be explained further on in this guide.
[2.] Use the canon personality and appearance, possibly history as well, as a base for your character. It will be like a Bible in the character creation process.
[3.] If your character has any canon family members, make sure your histories match. Talk to them and see what you guys would like to do.
[4.] Make sure your character does not have any abilities on the "banned abilities" list. There are a few on there that can be used in a case-by-case basis but are strictly regulated, however, please try to think of something else first. Talk to a mod about one of them if you wish to use one.
[5.] When in doubt and/or out of ideas, ask a moderator. We're here to help you. Also, if you just don't have any ideas, you can ask for suggestions from other players in the Chatango.
[6.] Make sure that the character you come up with is something you're happy with and will enjoy playing. It's no fun RPing a character you absolutely hate.
[7.] Also, make sure that when you choose an age for your character that the age is reasonable. The ages for the academy are 12-18 because of the age range of students that you can find in between middle-school and high school. If your character is twenty... that's too old. Please keep this in mind.
[8.] The sample RP needs to be something you've specifically written up for this setting and for this application. It needs to of the character you are applying for, doing something or thinking some that they might be doing in this AU. DO NOT use an example from a previous RP of some kind.[/ul]
